Recovery Specialist
OTE £25K

The role of a Recovery Specialist is to provide a roadside recovery service which delivers high levels of customer satisfaction to all RAC members. All Recovery Specialists are required to meet the standards of performance which ensures that the overall business operates effectively and efficiently to ensure that the business is competitive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high levels of customer service whilst operating in a manner which supports/enhances the RAC brand values, ensures customer retention and delivery.
- Meet the required standards of performance by achieving the key measures used to manage the business in order to provide a cost effective service.
- Promote retail sales which meet individual targets and contribute the business revenue streams.
- At all times work safety, ensuring the safety of self and members, to minimize risk of accident or injury.
- At all times behaviour is in keeping with that expected and defined to ensure that members are treated professionally, courteously and with empathy which ensures RAC’s high reputation is maintained
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Background & Knowledge
- Proven practical experience in a motor trade environment.
- Licensed to Category C (Minimum).
- Needs to be able to work unsupervised and have the ability to take ownership of members problems and provide a solution which is acceptable to the members.
- Will be responsible for maintaining vehicle to H&S standards.
- Is required to keep up-to-date with training and technical developments of vehicles.

- Excellent vehicle handling skills.
- A flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
- The ability to operate and maximize the use of all modern equipment including computerized equipment.
- The ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers in a face-to-face situation.
- The ability to work under pressure and to see a job through to completion.
Regulatory Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of breakdown products
- In-depth knowledge of systems and processes
- Requirement to conform to Data Protection Act, Working Time Directive, Health & Safety, & FSA
- Regulated Training Modules:
- Insurance and FSA regulation
- Introduction to regulated complaints
- Selling and Renewals
- Complaints handling
