About the Role
Become a Patrol and you’ll be the face of the organisation: a petrol head with brilliant diagnostic skills and the people skills to match. You’ll drive your state-of-the-art RAC van all over your region solving complex automotive problems and bringing comfort to broken-down motorists.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
Your skills: We look for a recognised apprenticeship and respected qualification – City & Guilds, IMI or NVQ. On top of that you’ll have practical working experience in the motor trade and proven ability on light vehicles.
Your personality: You’ll need to be a logical thinker and a born problem solver - someone who’s comfortable with advanced technology, great with people, calm under pressure, and independent and team-spirited in equal measure.
Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of breakdown products, systems and processes is vital, as is an appreciation of health and safety regulations, the data protection act and the working time directive.
